Mushroom Festival Fun!

Katherine LOVES having her face painted! Anywhere we go and if they have face painting, her Daddy is standing in line with her to make sure she gets transformed into whichever character she chooses.

Pre-School Open House

Katherine had a wonderful time at her Pre-School's Open House last Friday.

NY Girls

Katherine and Mommy had a chance to spend some time in NYC this summer with Aunt Christina and Uncle Rob. As always our favorite city was lots of fun. This time Katherine was awake in the American Girl Doll Store and FAO, and she wanted everything ;-) Katherine having her Mommy and her Aunt with her, made for a satisfied little girl :-)

This is a large bouquet of balloons that went to the ceiling, a bucket of candy and a princess wand. All compliments of Uncle Rob. One happy girl :-)

Fun Summer Night

Here is a cute snapshot of our cuties enjoying an evening outside.

Philadelphia Zoo

Katherine and John are at the ages where they LOVE animals. I'm not sure if all kids are like this, but my kids can not get enough, it is very sweet.
Jim and I enjoy going to the Zoo and often before we had our kids we would spend time at the Washington Zoo.
Now we have the Philly Zoo not far from our home, and we have spent some time there and I have to say, it is my favorite. The Philly Zoo has a lot to offer for children of all ages. The 4 of us truly could have stayed for days.
Here are a few pictures from our time there. We can not wait to go back once the temperatures cool down a bit;-)

John's 1st Birthday!

On June 14, 2011 our little man, celebrated his First Birthday!
John is a smily, giggly, laid back little guy who adores his Big Sister (and she him), and chases his cat. He has brought more giggles and love to our home than we knew was possible. He is his sister's best buddy and partner in crime. We are blessed, happy, and proud to have John as our Son to love!

Easter Bunny

Today Katherine and John visited the Easter Bunny! Katherine LOVED the dress up mask she was given and John could not get enough of the fuzzy bunny.

Balloons for Daddy

Jim has worked very hard for 4 years in Law School and graduated with Honors top of his class. Now he has worked very hard for months to sit for the Bar. When Jim came home from Philly we had balloons waiting, which Katherine and John just loved!

We love and are very proud of you Daddy!

Late Night

The other night Katherine woke up and could not sleep.

So we went downstairs for a snack. I love how when she wakes up her curls are just perfect as if we spent time styling them. How lucky, so Mommy took pictures at 2am! My camera is always close by.

Happy Belated Valentine's Day

I took these on Valentine's Day but never posted.
Love to all!

Katherine's First Time Sledding

Since moving to PA we have not seen much of our grass. With the continuous snow until recently, Katherine has had the opportunity to enjoy the snow and test out our new yard.
It was very hard to keep her inside!

Our Princess is 2

Happy 2nd Birthday Katherine! We love you!

January 19, 2011

I can hardly believe that 2 years have gone by already. Time truly does fly by.
It seems as if it was moments ago that I was holding my precious baby girl, trying to absorb every bit of her. Katherine has been the light of my heart. She is truly our sunshine. I thank God for her everyday and thank her everyday for being my little girl. I love seeing her grow, while learning new things, mastering new talents, and being the beautiful person she is.
Thank you to all our family and friends that celebrated our Katherine's 2nd Birthday! We truly appreciate the love and friendship you have given us and our daughter. We are so happy that so many came from the DC/Baltimore area and Grandpa flew in from Hot Springs to our new home in PA. We know it is not always easy to travel, and we truly appreciate it!

Merry Christmas

Here are some pictures from our Christmas card home photo shoot!

John's Baptism

John

Our little boy was Baptised in November. It was a wonderful day that was shared with family and friends. We are grateful to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules with their children and own schedules to be there to celebrate with us!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
It has been a busy few months and the blog has been neglected. We hope to rectify that now that we are slowly getting settled and have our desktop computer unpacked.

John was Baptised in November. We enjoyed celebrating with our close family and friends. Within weeks we moved to PA and the holiday celebrations began!

Life has been busy planning a Baptism, moving with 2 small kids, Jim studying for the Bar, unpacking and of course celebrating the holidays! However, it would not be a joyous life without all of these events and we are very grateful that we are healthy and well to enjoy everything!

We will be posting some pictures from recent events to share.

Happy and Healthy New Year to all our Family and Friends!

The Perfect Storm

As many know Alexandria City was hit with a bad storm in early August. As Donna was getting the kids ready for a nap, there was a big bang and a tree fell on our roof and our deck. Luckily no one was hurt, just shocked and no major damage. We just had to have our chimney rebuilt and haul away lots of debris. Here are some pictures. Our house was "spared", our neighborhood was not, and Alexandria City was declared a state of emergency.
