We spent the day at a farm in Maryland. We saw pigs, donkies, ponies, goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens, turkies, and ducks. We also got to pick some pumpkins.

ButtercupThis year we had our Buttercup to start the tradition of going to the Alexandria Halloween Parade in Delray. Teta Xpucta (Aunt Christina) joined us in the fun and helped make the day extra fun!

Happy 9 Months

On October 19th Katherine turned 9 months, where has the time gone?
A special treat came in that we ordered for her 9 month birthday!

She has had so much fun playing inside her tunnel that she will even bring toys in with her to enjoy the fun!

And its not just for little kids!

A new Nephew and Cousin to Love!

Last Saturday Lauren and Josh welcomed a new baby boy! Sawyer Lain Dennis was born October 3! We are so excited for the new family and can not wait to meet him soon! We hope to post some pictures in a couple of weeks once we get some of our own, we don't want to "steal" anyone's ;-)

Patent Pending

Now that Katherine has mobility, she tends to get a little dirty. Today she decided to take a "bath" in Charlie's water bowl. Therefore, daddy had to give her a real bath. Here's a picture of our little inventor in her Patent Pending shirt just after midday bathtime.

Afternoon at the Dog Park

Today was a warm and sunny October day. Katherine decided to take Charlie to the Shirlington Dog Park to make him tired. Charlie just turned 6 months and is nearly 70lbs. We think he still has a lot of growing left in him (he hasn't fully grown into his bear paws). He had fun running with what appeared to be at least a hundred other puppies. The massive white dog in the third picture was Charlie's friend.

Charlie is learning a few things at puppy school. He's learned to "sit," "stay," "come" when called, "leave it," "take it," and "drop it." We're also working on leash walking; he thinks he's a Clydesdale horse (i.e., he likes to pull). We can't wait until the instructor provides some hints to control his barking and "nibbling."

The Chapelsky Crawl

Katherine has a very unique crawl. Which we have learned is the same as her Mommy's was. Like Mother like Daughter

What's out there?

Katherine has discovered how to stand on her bumper to give her a little more height.
We will be lowering the crib again this weekend!
