In Memory of Mr. Bailey, We miss you!

A year ago today, we had to post the hardest news, as we experienced one of the saddest days of our lives, the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Bailey!

A day has not gone by that we have not thought of our precious dog and shed many tears. Our hearts still feel so much sadness.

He never had a chance to eat from Katherine's high chair as we had promised him he would be able to do once she got "big people food". He will never have a chance to meet our Baby John.

Katherine still points to the many pictures that we have of Bailey throughout our home and often carries them around with her. This gives us joy and comfort and we know he will always be in our hearts.

It was a routine Saturday that started with doing yard work, enjoying coffee and a muffin at St. Elmo's Cafe, and then taking Bailey and Simba to their annual vet check-up. As always, Bailey was super excited at the thought of a "car ride" and took his position in the back of the car. However, after he energetically jumped out of the car and began to make his way out of the vet parking lot, he suddenly collapsed. The doctors quickly rushed to his aid, but their revival attempts were unsuccessful. The cause of his death is not known, but the doctors assured us that he was not in pain. At seven years old, he was taken from us way too soon, but we know that he's in a better place.

Bailey brought a tremendous amount of joy to our lives and we will miss and love him forever. We love our Mr. Bailey!!

Helping Daddy

With the impending arrival of Baby John, there are some changes going on in the McClellan home. Katherine is moving up to the larger nursery, while her brother will enjoy the smaller nursery.
Since Katherine will have more room, we have purchased her a few more pieces of furniture. One being a set of table and chairs for her to enjoy Tea Party's and drawing with her friends.
Here Katherine is helping Daddy with the assembly.

Ahh Success!

Easter Basket Fun

Katherine was a very lucky girl, the Easter Bunny visited her via his Easter Helpers.
Here are a few cute pictures that we snapped! Thanks Babcha, Dido, Aunt Christina and Uncle Rob, Katherine had a blast!

Happy Easter

We were blessed to have beautiful, warm weather this Easter that we had the pleasure of spending with family and friends. Donna baked the Paska again this year; which took all of Good Friday, but the work is well worth keeping the tradition, not to mention the delicious sweet bread we have the pleasure of enjoying.

John's Nursery Update

We have been quite busy at the McClellan home. With Jim's last few days of Law School, graduation is fast approaching and we could not be more exited.
We have bought all of the items for John's Nursery, but will be waiting to start it once Jim has a minute to breathe.
John's furniture has been ordered. He will have the same as Katherine's, but in a darker color. We have his bedding, accessories, clothes, toys and baskets all ready for him. Katherine has lots of fun going through her baby brother's things.
Here is a sample of his bedding in the image below.
We look forward to showing the process once we starting "breaking ground". We can't wait for his arrival so he can enjoy his new space!
