Happy New Year, 2010!

We celebrated Katherine's first New Year's Eve in style at Sullivan's Steak House in Wilmington, DE with Christina and Rob. She stayed awake to see the ball drop.

Almost Midnight...and Katherine is wide awake to celebrate!

Merry Christmas!

Katherine had a wonderful First Christmas! She was able to celebrate it with all of her Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins! We had many family festivities on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and our little girl enjoyed every moment!

All I want for X-Mas are "Two More Teeth"!

Two more teeth would give Katherine 10. She has 5 that are clearly in and 3 more than have broken the surface. We need to keep all of those teeth squeeky clean... after Mommy blow dried her hair, Katherine got to work on her teeth. Thanks Uncle "Doctor" Rob for the brushing supplies!

"Ok...now how does this stuff work?"

"Oh, I see...I put the stuff in the tube on the brush...now how do I get this lid off?"

"Aw...this feels good...no cavities for me Uncle Rob"

Soft Room Fun!

Katherine and her buddies enjoyed an afternoon in the Soft Room.
It was hard to keep up with her, she was crawling, jumping in the ball pit, and climbing onto and anything she could!
Katherine had a blast and the pictures capture just that.

Decorating the Tree...and KAM's First Blizzard

A couple weeks ago Katherine helped us decorate our Christmas tree. Today, on her 11th month birthday, she experienced her first blizzard. With the snow still falling, we have 17 inches on our deck.

Sviatyij Mykolai Aka. Saint Nicholas pays a visit

It is a Ukrainian tradition to celebrate Saint Nicholas Day on December 6. Growing up this is something we looked forward to every year. Jim and I were happy that this year we could continue the tradition with Katherine.

Saint Nicholas, or Sviatyij Mykolai, as said in Ukrainian, visited Katherine in the morning. He left her a special gift, her first Nativity.

We were thrilled that Katherine has enjoyed playing with her Nativity set and often takes Mary with her on car rides!

Here is a link describing the tradition: http://www.stnicholascenter.org/Brix?pageID=98

Happy Thanksgiving

Katherine enjoyed her first Thanksgiving! She had her own special turkey dinner to celebrate,
and experienced her first Black Friday shopping with the traditional lunch at Nordstroms Cafe at the Columbia Mall. Family Photo
