Our Newest Arrival: Charlie!

We would like to introduce you to the newest member of the family. He's a Golden and his name is Charlie. At 7 weeks young he was 10lbs. Three weeks later, he's a hefty 24lbs. Charlie is quit the handful. He's incredibly cute, but is also our little "CHEWbacca" (he really likes to chew on ankles and toes). Here's a couple pics from the last couple weeks.

Katherine's Baptism

We are a bit late on this post...
We were blessed to have Katherine Baptised a few weeks ago at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church. The same church that Donna was Baptised in and we were married in, so we have come full circle.
The weather was beautiful and brought many family and friends from all over the country to celebrate this joyous occasion!
Katherine is honored to have Aunt Christina as her Godmother and Cousin Eric as her Godfather! Christina and Eric have truly shown their love for Katherine since they found out that we were expecting! These are two individuals that we think very highly of. They have a strong faith in God, a strong presence in our lives and we know will always be a part of Katherine's life. They will help to bring her up in her faith, always walking with God. In Memory of Bailey

Until now, our blog has been reserved for only happy news, but yesterday Donna and I experienced one of the saddest days of our lives. Suddenly and completely unexpectedly our beloved Bailey passed away.

It was a rountine Saturday that started with doing yard work, enjoying coffee and a muffin at St. Elmo's Cafe, and then taking Bailey and Simba to their annual vet check-up. As always, Bailey was super excited at the thought of a "car ride" and took his position in the back of the car. However, after he energetically jumped out of the car and began to make his way out of the vet parking lot, he suddenly collapsed. The doctors quickly rushed to his aid, but their revival attempts were unsuccessful.

The cause of his death is not known, but the doctors assured us that he was not in pain. At seven years old, he was taken from us way too soon, but we know that he's in a better place. Bailey brought a tremendous amount of joy to our lives and we will miss and love him forever. We love our Mr. Bailey!!

First Mother's Day

This year Donna celebrated her first Mother's Day! A day she has waited for a long time to celebrate! Daddy and Katherine whisked Mommy away for a night's stay at the Hotel Lorein in Old Town. Where Mommy was pampered with a massage, a delicious dinner and breakfeast! Most importantly the three of us spent the time together!

Our dear friends Melanie and Dave welcomed along with Big Sister Tallula a bouncing baby boy!
We had the pleasure of meeting the little guy, which gave Katherine and Tallula some much needed catch up time, these two have a great fondness for each other!

Our Katherine has become friends with a fantastic group of people. Mommy and Katherine spend at least once a week with the Mommys and babies, all born within days and weeks of eachother. Katherine and her friends often have long conversations to the delight of their Mommies! Here are a few pictures of Katherine hosting her first playdate with many more in the future!!
